TIRED OF THOSE OVERHYPED TOURS of celebs’ Los Angeles mansions? Architectural historian Laura Massino has a fresh new way of seeing the City of Angels. Her stars are eclectic examples of Los Angeles architecture, and she provides a unique way of seeing them-from the plush leather-trimmed seats of a flawless 1962 Model 62 Cadillac. Acting as personal tour guide, Massino hosts six two-hour tours for up to five people ($60 per person). Each tour offered by her company, Architecture Tours L.A., focuses on a particular area of the city and includes Frank Lloyd Wright’s Mayan-inspired Enis-Brown house, the Capital Records Tower, a landmakr that resembles a stack of phonograph records’ French chateaus; Art Deco palaces and structures by noted architects Frank Gehry, Richard Meier and I.M. Pei.
